Obama Slaps the Constitution – Again
July 16, 2012
Obama slaps our beloved Constitution, yet again. It seems to have become habitual, as of late. This newest offense stems from his campaign trail.
First of all, let me point out a passage from The United States Constitution. This is found in Article 1 Section 9 last paragraph provided by Archives.gov:
“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State.”
Let us focus on the terms, “present or emolument,” one could easily consider this a type of bribe, in certain circumstances. What does the constitution say about bribes? This information is more precisely about the office of The President. This from Article 2 section 4 for arguments sake provided once again by Archives.gov:
“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
With both those things being pre-stated, first the office of President should not accept any gifts by any nation outside the United States, nor should the official be bribed. I am bringing these points up for a very valid reason. This from Gateway Pundit, which is where you can go and see the list of events.
“Busy Month for Obama Campaign with Fundraisers in Switzerland, Sweden, Paris and Communist China. It’s going to be a very busy month for the Obama Campaign.”
The reason for this article is, I think that no elected official or those that want to be elected should be entitled to any outside campaign funds. This gives the impression that America’s best interests are not protected. Also, to be certain, it makes certain things that are occurring right now, seem highly questionable.
Annuit Coeptis! ~ Amen.
