The Los Angeles Cononer has ruled that the legendary freedom activist, Andrew Breitbart, died of heart failure resulting from coronary disease. According to Coroner spokesperson Craig Harvey, a negligible amount of alcohol was found in Breitbart’s system but that no prescription or illicit drugs were present. His blood alcohol level was .04%. When the story broke of Breitbart’s death, we had learned that he had enjoyed a friendly chat and drink with a stranger at a local night spot near his home. The stranger noted that Breitbart had a glass of wine, during their conversation. The evening ended, and then Breitbart began to walk home, when he succumbed to heart failure.
The Coroner also stated that no foul play was suspected.
The official autopsy statement, released by the LA Department of Coroner, states that Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with focal coronary atherosclerosis. Hypertrophic cadiomyopathy is a disease of the the heart muscle that causes it to thicken. Atherosclerosis is caused by fatty tissue built up around the heart. It’s the largest killer of men in the United States.
Breitbart was found dead outside his LA home on March 1. shortly after midnight.
Craig Harvey told the Associated Press that the case has been officially closed.
The final coroner’s report will be available for release within 2 weeks.
GOD Bless America.
